The Importance of a strong branding

More often than not, businesses consider branding as secondary or “not as important” to their business. But the truth is, it has been shown that a good branding not only increases the value of a company, but it provides employees with a sense of direction and motivation and attracts more customers. There is so much more to a brand than just a “pretty” logo or nice colors. Your brand accounts for your customers and the service or product being provided to them by your business. Here is why business owners should not think twice about investing in a good branding.

First of all, what is branding?

Think of branding as your brand identity. Who is your brand? What does it stand for? A brand must capture your goals and objectives. State your vision in the form of visuals. This includes the brand color palette, the brands fonts,  logo and logo variations, logo submark, brand patterns and supporting elements, and any other brand graphic needed to express and reflect the identity of your brand.

A strong branding attracts more customers

It has been shown that a business with a cohesive branding is more likely to attract their ideal customers and keep them. The purpose of a branding is to showcase the brands mission, vision and purpose. So, it should not come as a surprise the fact how a strong branding attracts the ideal customer, since the branding was made and throughout to fit the profile of the customer.

A strong branding creates recognition and trust

Clients are more likely to hire a company who they recognize. As a company or brand starts to grow and reach more people, they become recognized. It is more likely they'll remember what a brand looks like, rather than the actual name or purpose. In order to be recognized as a brand, you must have something to be recognized by. In this particular case, the branding itself

With growth also comes trust; studies show that customers are more likely to trust a brand if they like what they see. Think of the brand as a book cover, the preview for your brand. There is a phrase, “Never judge a book by it’s cover”, but the truth is people are more likely to pick a book based on the cover, different book genres have different covers. The same happens with a brand, the first thing they look at is your logo and brand colors to decide if they trust you as a brand.

A strong branding increases financial value

As a brand becomes bigger and recognized, the value of the brand increases. But regardless of the brand, branding accounts for a huge amount of the value. This includes trademarks to the logo and rights to the brand. When a branding is done correctly and efficiently, there is something called a brand manual, with all of the instructions on how to use your brand logo and elements. If your brand doesn’t have one, then it might be time to rebrand or talk to a brand designer.

As you can see, branding is so much more than a pretty logo, it has a purpose for the brand and plays a huge role in how the brand grows and is seen by society. So if you plan to start a business or don’t think much about the importance of a strong branding, think twice before proceeding without a branding that incorporates and reflects your values.
